A person has been killed in the fire incident at a building in capital's Fakirapool area early Monday.
Deceased Ebadat Hossain, 45, was a security guard of the building.
He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital after the fire incident around 2:45am where duty doctor declared him dead.
Mozammel Hoque, in-charge of DMCH police outpost, confirmed the Dhaka Tribune about the death.
A fire broke out at Paramount Heights building around 12:30am.
A total of 14 fire units doused the fire after one hour of efforts, according to fire service control room.
