Vote counting of Fulgazi upzila by-poll is underway on Sunday afternoon.
The voting began at 8am and ended at 4pm without any breaks.
The number of voters in the upazila is 76,480. Of them, 37,485 are male and 38, 956 are female voters.
Upazila Awami League general secretary Abdul Alim and detained BNP leader Mahtab Uddin Ahmed Chowdhury Minar are running the race.
On May 20, Fulgazi Upazila Chairman Ekramul Haque Ekram was shot and burnt to death at Academy area in Feni town.
After the assassination of Ekram, the Election Commission (EC) declared the position vacant.
