Voting for chairman post of Feni's Fulgazi upazila is underway in 30 polling centres.
Polling started at 8am and will continue till 4pm.
The number of voters in the upazila is 76,480. Of them, 37,485 are male and 38, 956 are female voters.
Upazila Awami League general secretary Abdul Alim and detained BNP leader Mahtab Uddin Ahmed Chowdhury Minar are running the race.
District returning officer Md Mominul Haque said law enforcers including BGB, RAB and police personnel are maintaining law and order situation in the polling areas.
On May 20, Fulgazi Upazila Chairman Ekramul Haque Ekram was shot and burned to death at Academy area in Feni town.
After the assassination of Ekram, the Election Commission (EC) declared the position vacant.
