A businessman has been murdered by miscreants in Naniarchar upazila of Rangamati.
Deceased Babul Dey, 60, was the president of Jagannath mandir committee in Burighat area.
Naniarchar police station Officer-in-Charge Abdur Rashid told the Dhaka Tribune that a group of miscreants called Babul, Uttam and Mridul out of their residence around 11pm on Wednesday.
"Later the miscreants released Uttam and Mridul but kept Babul captive," he said.
Uttam and Mridul informed Burighat army camp about the incident after they got released.
Later, the army personnel found Babul's body at Monkholamukh area on Thursday morning.
