A memorandum of understating (MoU) has been signed between Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) and a Malaysian company, BNG global holding, on Jhilmil project.
Rajuk Chairman GM Joynal Abedin and Dr S Sabrina representing the Malaysian company signed the MoU at the conference room of Housing and Public Works Ministry on Wednesday in the capital.
According to the agreement, the Malaysian company will build 10,000 flats in the project and a 13.5-km flyover stretching from Shantinagar to the Jhilmil Residential Project.
The drinking water plant, sewerage, sanitation and drainage in Kamrangirchar area under the project will be constructed on BOT basis or government-to-government basis, according to the agreement.
Public Works and Housing Minister Mosharraf Hossain, its Secretary M Golam Rabbani and senior ministry officials were present at the signing ceremony.
