Two supplementary charge sheets of Special Branch police inspector Mahfuzur Rahman and his wife Swapna Rahman muder case have been submitted with a Dhaka court.
Investigation Officer of the case DB Inspector Abu Al Kahayer Matabbar submitted the charge sheets on Wednesday.
Seven new witnesses have been included in the supplementary charge sheets.
The new witnesses are Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Anwar Sadat, Magistrate Asaduzzaman Nur, Magistrate Keshab Roy Chowdhury, Magistrate Rezaul Karim, Magistrate Mostafijur Rahman and seizure list witnesses Md Rabiul and Soleman.
Defense lawyer Mahbub Hasan Rana said: “It is totally illegal as the plea for submitting the supplementary charge sheets were not filed by both the prosecutors and the defence lawyers.”
On March 9, Detective Branch (DB) of police submitted the charge sheet against the four accused, including Oishee.
On August 14 last year, SB inspector Mahfuzur and his wife Shapna were stabbed to death at their rented flat in Chamelibagh, Malibagh.
Police recovered their bodies on August 16.
Oishee, 19, with housemaid Shumi, surrendered at Paltan police station on August 17.
Later, Oishee gave a statement under interrogation claiming that she had killed her parents with the help of housemaid Shumi.
