Police filed two cases against some 250 Islami Chhatra Shibir activists for their alleged involvement with the bomb that were recovered from two halls of Chittagong University.
Hathazari police station Sub-Inspectors Razzak and Arifuzzaman lodged the cases on Tuesday night.
Hathazari police station Officer-in-Charge Md Ismail Hossain told the Dhaka Tribune: “SI Razzak filed the case against 105 named and some 15 to 20 unnamed Shibir activists in connection with the recovery in Abdur Rab Hall.”
“While SI Arifuzzaman filed the case against 104 named and 12 to 15 unnamed activists in connection bomb recovery in AF Rahman Hall recovery,” he said.
On Wednesday, police recovered 19 petrol bombs, three hand bombs and gun powder from Abdur Rab Hall of Chittagong University.
On September 14, police recovered 21 crude bombs for the third time from behind AF Rahman Hall.
