A full-length trailer for the forthcoming Hunger Games sequel, “Mockingjay: Part 1” has been released, giving audiences a clear look at what is in store for Katniss Everdeen. Starring Hollywood superstar Jennifer Lawrence, the film, directed by Francis Lawrence, is the first part of the adaptation of the third book in Suzanne Collins’ hugely successful young adult fiction trilogy.
The sequel picks up where last year’s “Catching Fire” left off with Everdeen, now the official symbol of a mass rebellion against the Capitol. Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson and Donald Sutherland, who plays the villainous President Snow, are also returning in the sequel.
The late actor Philip Seymour Hoffman will also be seen reprising his unfinished role of Plutarch Heavensbee. Julianne Moore joins the cast as President Snow’s rival, while British Game of Thrones actress Natalie Dormer will appear as Cressida, another of the Capitol’s rebels. Pop star Lorde meanwhile, has been commissioned to “curate” the film’s soundtrack. “Mockingjay – Part 1″ opens in theatres on November 21.
