Some 43 students will vie for a seat in the admission tests for the first year honours courses at Rajshahi University under 2014-15 academic sessions.
This year, a total of 1,65,596 students have registered their names for the admission tests against 3,828 seats under 8 units, said Professor Elias Hossain, public relations administrator of the university, on Tuesday.
Registration for the admission tests began on August 27 and continued till 11:59pm on September 14.
The admission tests are scheduled to be held from October 19 to October 25.
The details of the admission tests will be available at RU's website.
Applicants will be informed through SMS about the routine and seat arrangement of the tests, sources said.
This year, two new departments – International Relations (IR) and Banking and Insurance – have been launched while 30 and 40 students will be admitted for the first time at the departments respectively.
