Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have detained a person with 12 gold bars worth around Tk1.20 crore at Benapole bus stand in Jessore.
BGB personnel detained Tobibur Rahman with the gold bars weighing some 1.9kg at Benapole bus stand around 12pm on Tuesday.
BGB Benapole Camp Commander Rafiqul Islam said: “The gold bars were recovered after searching Tobibur's body. He has admitted that he was going to the border to smuggle gold bars to India.”
