Jubo League activists have put blockade near Mohammad Ali area on Dhaka-Chittagong highway more than one hour on Monday protesting arrest of three local Awami League leaders accused in local Sechchasebak Dal leader murder case.
The arrestees are Baligaon Awami League leader Joynal, Kamal and Jamal Uddin.
They are accused in Baligaon Secchashebak Dal leader Mustafa Monir.
The vehicular movement was shut for more than one hour on the busy road from 8.45pm to 10.15pm on Monday night, creating immense sufferings to the passengers.
Later, police rushed to the spot and dispersed the blockaders.
Feni Additional Police Super Saiful Haq endorsed the information to the Dhaka Tribune.
He said: “We rushed to the spot immediately and dispersed the blockaders and also removed wood logs from the highway.”
The vehicular movement came to normaly, he added.
