The government has appointed two information commissioners on Monday.
The new commissioners are Nepal Chandra Sarker, former secretary of Information Commission, and Professor Khurshida Begum of the department of Government and Politics at Jahangirnagar University, reports BSS.
President Md Abdul Hamid appointed the two information commissioners in line with section 15 (1) of the Right to Information Act, 2009, an official release said.
According to the release, the government will fix the rank and status, honoraria, allowances and other facilities of the two commissioners.
