An activist of the ruling Awami League, who received injuries in a clash over kitchen market control in Azimpur has succumbed to his injuries at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
The deceased is Sahabuddin Sabu, 40, supporter of independent MP and Awami League leader Hazi Mohammad Selim.
DMCH police outpost In-charge Inspector Mozammel Haque told Dhaka Tribune Sabu died around 6:30am while undergoing treatment at DMCH.
On Friday, activists of Awami League leaders Haji Selim and Mostafa Jalal Mohiuddin clashed over establishing supremacy at a kitchen market in Azimpur.
Sabu was stabbed during the clash that took place at around 12pm at the kitchen market near Azimpur Chapra Mosque.
