Police have recovered the body of a young woman from an abandoned suitcase at Banktown area on Dhaka-Aricha highway in Savar.
The deceased could not be identified immediately.
Locals said police recovered the body of the young woman from a black suitcase which was found in an abandoned state near Banktown bridge on Friday morning.
Savar Model police station Officer-in-Charge Mostofa Kamal said: “The body has been sent to Dhaka Medical College morgue for autopsy. We are estimating that she might have been killed somewhere else and abandoned here.”
“A case has been lodged with Savar model police station in connection to the matter,” he said.
