A man and his wife have been electrocuted at Charhamjani village of Kalihati upaizla in Tangail.
The deceased are Foyej Uddin Mandol, 70, and his wife Sahara Khatun, 60, of the same area.
Md Mahbobul Haque, officer-in-charge (investigation) of Kalihati police station said: “Foyej came into the contact with a live electric wire in front of his residence at about 3:00pm.”
“His wife Sahara also fell victim when she attempted to rescue Foyej.”
