Update : 09 Sep 2014, 06:58 PM

Bangladeshi-born model Maksuda Akter Prioty, who rose to prominence after winning the “Ms Ireland Beauty Pageant 2014” title, is going to make her motion picture acting debut in Noman Robin’s next directorial venture “Premoi Khoda, Khodai Prem.”

While talking to the Dhaka Tribune, Dallywood’s new dusky beauty explained how the film came her way. “I watched Noman’s ‘Common Gender’ and was totally amazed by it. I loved his unique style and creative ingenuity, which is the reason why I agreed to do this film,” she said.

“It’s a challenging job and I am really looking forward to it. The story is lovely.”

About her role in the film, she said, “Noman has cast me in the lead role. The movie will be an attempt to portray discriminations and biases faced by women in their everyday life. The way Noman described the whole idea of it to me, I just couldn’t say no.”

“Currently, I am in Ireland. Shooting will start next month.”

It has been learnt that “Premoi Khoda, Khodai Prem” is still in its pre-production stage, with no male lead cast yet. It is being produced by Aurora International in cooperation with NR Films and will be shot in both Bangladesh and London.

Prioty, mother of two, has been residing in Ireland for the past 14 years, and is currently studying business management as well as preparing to be a pilot. Asked how she plans to manage between her passions for acting and aviation, she replied, “I will continue both simultaneously.”

Prioty was the only Asian participant in the beauty pageant and bested about 700 participants.
