Bangladesh Railway will start selling train tickets in advance from September 26 in order to ease the journey of home-bound people ahead of Eid-ul-Azha and Durga Puja festivals of the year.
Railway Minister Mazibul Hoque made the announcement in a press briefing at his office on Tuesday afternoon.
Passengers can buy the tickets in advance both online and from the ticket counters, the minister said.
The return tickets will be available from October 3, he informed.
