A Sramik League leader found dead at West Rajarampur village of Mohammadpur union under Senbag upazila of Noakhali on early Tuesday.
The victim is Ajijul Hoque Saiful 32, joint convener of Yakubpur union SL, son of Mominul Hoque of village Chondipur under Yakubpur union of Feni district.
Md Zakir Hossain, officer-in-charge of Senbag police station, quoting the locals said they found a body was lying beside the road in west Rajarampur village 12:30am.
On information, police went to the spot and recovered the body. They found a minor injury on his right leg at the time of inquest. They also suspected that he might be suffocated.
Md Fazlu, younger brother of the victim, after hearing the recovery of a body, came to the Senbag police station and identified the body as of his elder brother, who was missing from Sunday night.
The body was handed over to the victim's relatives after postmortem.
