Ananta Jalil to make way for newcomers

Update : 08 Sep 2014, 11:26 PM

Looks like Ananta Jalil, the do-all at Bangladesh’s film industry, has finally decided that it was wise to be good at one thing rather than being mediocre at many things. The businessman-turned-actor, who also produced and directed most of his films, announced that he will provide space to newcomers in his upcoming film projects.

“I have decided to cast fresh faces in my upcoming projects,” he said while attending a film show organised in memory of late Salman Shah.

“From now on, I will produce four films each year, and will act in only one of them. Newcomers will be roped in for the remaining films. This way, I hope to develop our industry and take it to a higher level.”

Ananta says he will organise a talent-hunt show in cooperation with Monsoon Films to find new actors. His new project, “The Spy: Agrojatrar Mohanayok,” is in its pre-production stage now with shooting likely to begin any day soon.
