2 villages declared malnutrition-free in Fulbari

Two villages in Fulbari upazila of Dinajpur have been declared free from malnutrition.

Six other villages in the upazila were also declared fully sanitised and free from child death.

The declaration came from a ceremony under on Sunday afternoon, reports BSS.

Chairman of Betdighee union Shah Md Abdul Quddus officially declared Faridabad and Chalk Enayetpur villages free from malnutrition.

He also declared Kanchapukur, Faridabad, Chalk Enayetpur, Uttar Syedpur, Dakshin Syedpur and Madhdhyam Syedpur villages under Ward no-9 in the union fully sanitised and free from child death.

The declaration at a massive gathering arranged at Uttar Syedpur Eidgah ground in Fulbari upazila on 'Health, nutrition and hygiene' by Watsan Committee of Ward No-9 of Betdighee union.

Syedpur Community Clinic and Watsan Committee of Ward No-9 jointly worked under a comprehensive programme for last two years with assistance of Fulbari Area Development Programme (ADP) of World Vision Bangladesh (WVB) to achieve the tremendous success.
