The Citycell Inter School Basketball Tournament got underway yesterday at the Dhanmondi Basketball Gymnasium as Sunbeams School defeated Green Herald International School 44-09 in the opening match of the girls’ event.
Tasfia scored 10 points for Sunbeams School while Kazi Adrina notched seven points for Green Herald.
Bangladesh Basketball Federation (BBF) vice president Moinul Ahsan Monju and the federation’s general secretary AK Sarker, also the general secretary of the South Asian Basketball Association, were present during the inauguration. BBF president Mostafa Jalal Mohiuddin was the chief guest.
