The government will import 100 AC minibuses to ease the traffic congestion in the capital city, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has said.
The minister made the disclosure to the journalists after a meeting with the delegation of UNDP-Bangladesh Sustainable Development Activities at his ministry office on Sunday, reports BSS.
Examining the nature of traffic congestion, the delegation told the minister that uses of small vehicles will be more useful compared to large vehicles.
The delegation put emphasis on increasing the number of quality buses to ease the traffic congestion.
Secretary M A N Siddique, BRTA chairman M Nazrul Islam, Journalist and Columnist Syed Abul Maksud, among others, were present in the meeting.
