The DMP authorities yesterday appointed Mustafizur Rahman as the new officer-in-charge of Khilgaon police.
The former OC, Sirajul Islam Sheikh, was withdrawn for his negligence in duty hat led to the death of a youth and injuries to his father on Thursday.
A group of muggers shot them and looted Tk48 lakh from them in Tilpa Para area in Khilgaon.
