The painting exhibition of Egyptian artist Dr Walid Jahin titled “Personage of Egyptian Vision” is going on at the La Galerie, Alliance Française de Dhaka.
Renowned Egyptian artist Jahin is exhibiting his artworks for the first time in Bangladesh. He is a professor of fine arts at the Alexandria University of Egypt. As Jahin puts it, his artistic transcendence started 15 years ago, deriving inspiration from the great Egyptian art, whose influences evolved into modernism and postmodern forms.
He is known for bridging the gap between traditional Egyptian art form and modern art form. Best known for his modern art techniques, Jahin has received numerous prestigious awards since 1996. His recent endeavours celebrate the human body portraying in the epic manner of Greek gods and goddesses. The exhibition will be open to all until September 13.
