Police have arrested a suspended sub-assistant engineer of local government engineering department, who is accused in three cases lodged by the Anti Corruption Commission.
Abul Kalam, Gournadi police station officer-in-charge, said a police team led by assistant sub inspector Qamruzzaman arrested Engineer Dev Ratan from his house at West Chandrahar area of Gournadi around 10am.
Engineer Dev Ratan went on hiding after ACC lodged three cases with Tajumuddin police station of Bhola in 2012 accusing him and three others for amassing illegal wealth through corruption, misappropriation of public funds.
As he turned fugitive, the court ordered police to arrest him and seize his movable property.
The arrestee was sent to jail after producing before the court on Friday, police sources said.
