The road under the Moghbazar-Mouchak flyover will be repaired by next 10-day in a bid to reduce public sufferings, Communications Minister Obaidul Quader has said.
The minister announced the deadline while visiting the Moghbazar-Mouchak flyover area in the capital on Tuesday, reports BSS.
Quader directed the authorities concerned to take necessary measures to repair roads in order to bring sufferings of the people to a tolerable limit.
“The government is working to build awareness among the common people to bring back discipline on the roads and highways," he said.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Benazir Ahmed, Dhaka Transport and Coordination Authority (DTCA) Executive Director M Kaikobad Hossain, Moghbazar-Mouchak Flyover Project Director M Nazmul Alam and representatives of Dhaka City Corporations and Dhaka Water Supply and Sewerage Authority accompanied the minister.
