At least two people have been killed and another person has been injured as a passenger bus hit a rickshaw van in Tangali's Ghatail upazila.
The deceased are Shukur Mahmud, 45, and Abdul Barek, 60, hailed from East Pakutia village of the upazila.
Fazlul Kabir, officer-in-charge of Ghatail police station said: “A Dhaka-bound passenger bus hit a rickshaw van from the behind in Pakutia Deulibari on Tuesday afternoon, leaving Barek dead on the spot and the two others injured.”
“Later, Shukur succumbed to his injuries at the upazila health complex around 2:30pm.”
