Similarly, the encounter between the two sides in the final of the Metropolitan Women’s Cricket League today at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium is once again expected to have an extra edge.
Mohammedan sealed their berth in the final after defeating Gulshan Youth Club by 99 runs in the first semifinal while Abahani registered their place following their eight-wicket win over Khelaghar Samaj Kalyan Samity.
The highest scorer of the tournament, Jahirul Islam City Club’s Sharmin Akhter Supta with 290 runs, however, will not be featuring in the final but the highest wicket-taker of the competition, Abahani’s Lata Mondol with 17 scalps will get the opportunity to add to her wickets tally.
