A mobile court has sealed off a bread and biscuit factory after over 100 students of a high school fell sick having snacks supplied from the factory.
Natore executive magistrate Muradul Islam passed the order on Wednesday night.
The Benu Bread and Biscuit factory was also fined Tk30,000 for producing food items without any permission of BSTI. The factory owner's daughter Bilkis Banu paid the amount immediately.
On the other hand, Natore Government Girls’ High School issued a notice for the students and guardians, saying that the school authorities decided to stop supplying all kinds of snacks to the students and teachers.
Gopal Chandra Sarker, headmaster of the school said all ailing students were discharged from sadar hospital. They have returned home on early Thursday.
More than 100 students of Natore Government Girls' High School have fallen sick after eating snacks served at school canteen on Wednesday morning.
A three-member probe committee headed by Additional Deputy Commissioner Kazi Atiur Rahman was formed to investigate the incident.
