Heavy rain has hampered the rescue operation of the passengers who went missing in a trawler capsize in Meghna river.
The rescue operation could not be resumed till filling of this report on Thursday morning.
Bhairab police station Officer-in-Charge Badrul Alam Talukder said: “We have not been able to resume the rescue operation due to the heavy downpour.”
On Wednesday, around 10 persons went missing when the trawler capsized in Meghna River with some 40 passengers on-board near Kagbazar area in Kishoreganj.
Of the passengers, around 30 managed to swim ashore with the help of nearby fishermen while the others are still missing.
