First Hajj flight leaves Dhaka for Macca

The first Hajj flight carrying 409 Bangladeshi pilgrims has left Saudi Arabia.

The flight left the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 7:05am, said Md Abul Maleq, assistant hajj officer of ministry of religion affairs.

The second flight carrying 419 Bangladeshi pilgrims will leave Dhaka at 12:05pm.

The return flights will start from October 9 and continue till November 7, he said.

Out of the total 98,762 pilgrims, 1600 will perform Hajj under the government management while the rest will go under private management.

Some 835 agents will be involved in the facilitation process of the Hajj for the pilgrims.
