2 children killed in Jamalpur wall collapse

Two children have been killed and one has been injured when the boundary wall of a house collapsed in Mukundabari area of Jamalpur town on Monday.

The deceased are Hira, 7, son of Kentu Sheikh and Yasin, 6, son of Uzir Ali of the area and the injured is identified as Polash, 10.

Officer-in-Charge of Jamalpur police station Mujibur Rahman endorsed the information to the Dhaka Tribune.

He said a newly built boundary wall collapsed on them while they were playing near the wall of a house of Gias Uddin in Mukundabari area.

The wall was recently built as part of an extension of boundary of the house.

Later, the children were rushed to Jamalpur General Hospital where on duty doctors declared Hira dead.

The doctors referred Yasin and Polash to the Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.

Yasin succumbed to his injuries in the hospital and Polash was admitted to ICU.
