Police have recovered the bodies of a father and his son from a canal at Pandong area under Fatikchhari upazila in Chittagong on Sunday morning.
They went missing in the canal water on Friday afternoon.
However, police could not find another missing, the daughter of the person, till the filing of this report at 7:30pm.
On Friday afternoon, Jahangir 45, resident of Berajali village of the upazila, his son Shamsul Alam, 5, and daughter Fatema Jinnat, 8, went missing in the canal water when they were crossing the canal by boat.
Mofiz Uddin, officer-in-charge Fatikchhari police station said: “Locals found the bodies floating in the canal and then it was informed to the police, they recovered the bodies.”
“The bodies handed over to their family members,” he added.
He said the trio was crossing the canal on the day at around 1pm by a boat while the boat turned over accidentally and caused them to drown into canal water.
