The body of a school girl has been recovered on Sunday morning, two days after she went missing in Bangshai river of Sakhipur.
Deceased Sharna, 13, daughter of Ashraf Hossain, was a class VI student.
Sharna's father Ashraf Hossain claimed that her boyfriend Tushar had pushed her to the river in a bid to kill her.
However, Tushar claimed that Sharna jumped into the river because she was upset with him.
Police detained Tushar on the day Sharna had gone missing.
Sakhipur police station Officer-in-Charge Bazlur Rashid said police has been conducting rescue operation with the help of locals after Sharna went missing.
"The body was recovered from Gilabari area around 7am," he said.
