A woman has been hacked to death by her husband at Dashkia village under Delduar upazila of the district on Satuday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Rasheda Begum, 30, wife of Jahidul Islam.
Delduar police station Officer-in-charge Chan Mia said Jahidul hacked his wife Rasheda with a sharp weapon at one stage of altercation over a family feud around 2:30pm, leaving Rasheda dead on the spot.
Jahidul and his other family members fled the scene soon after the incident, said the OC.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Tangail Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
None was arrested in this connection till filing of the report at 4:50pm.
