A Dhaka Court has sent music director Shawkat Ali Emon to jail, rejecting his bail plea in a case filed under Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Act.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Aminul Hoque passed the order on Thursday afternoon.
Police arrested Emon from his Bailey Road residence in the capital in the early hours of the day.
On Monday, Emon's wife Jinat Kabir filed the case with Ramna police station.
