The bodies of three Bangladeshi construction workers who were killed when a concrete span collapsed at the Mass Rapid Transit work site in Sungai Buloh, Malaysia have arrived in Dhaka on Thursday morning.
A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight carrying the bodies of Mohamad Faruk Khan, Mohammad Elahi Hossain and Mohammad Alauddin Mollik landed at the Shahjalal International Airport at 6:30am.
Badiar RAhman, deputy secretary of Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment handed the bodies over to the respective families.
Each of the families were also given a cheque of Tk25,000 for transportation and burial costs.
The Malaysian company, who appointed them, has given $5900 each of the victim, he said.
