Euromoney, a leading global financial publication read by high-ranking financial decision makers in over 100 countries, gave City Bank the ‘Best Bank in Bangladesh’ award on Wednesday, says a media release.
The award was given in a programme in Hong Kong titled Euromoney’s Awards for Excellence 2014, in presence of 500 leading bankers from across the globe, while City Bank’s MD and CEO Sohail RK Hussain received the prize on behalf of the bank.
In the Euromoney’s citation, it was said: “During a period of political and economic instability, City Bank of Bangladesh thrived and it embraced change in a way its rivals struggled to match.”
Sohail said: “This [the award] will further reinforce our determination to continue to execute our strategy in order to creating value for our clients and shareholders.”
