At least three people have been killed and four others injured as a lorry ran over an auto-rickshaw on Natore-Dhaka Highway near Ramaigachhi area in Natore on Tuesday afternoon.
The deceased are Rafiqul Islam, 42, Jonab Ali, 40, and Tanzila, 10, of Ramaigachhi area.
Aslam Uddin, officer-in-charge of Natore Sadar police station said: “A Dhaka-bound oil-laden truck [lorry] ran over a Doyarampur-bound auto-rickshaw around 2pm, leaving two people dead on the spot and five others injured.”
“Later, Tanzila died on her way to Rajshahi Medical Collage Hospital.”
The others injured in the incident have been admitted at Natore Sadar Hospital and Rajshahi Medical Collage Hospital.
