Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim yesterday said BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has made a great mistake by not joining the January 5 parliamentary elections and they should wait until the next polls which are to be held in 2019.
“BNP has to pay for the mistake and they (BNP) should refrain from the path of arson and vandalism in the name of politics, and rearrange the party orders for the 2019 general elections,” the minister said.
The minister made the made remarks as chief guest in a seminar arranged by Bangladesh Medical Technologists and Pharmacists Association in Shaheed M Mansur Ali auditorium of the district town.
A presidium member of the ruling party AL hoped of completing the tasks promised to the people by his government and going to power again in the next elections with the people's mandate.
The ruling party AL warned of taking stern action by the administration concerned if any move to create anarchy would be taken by BNP in the name of a movement.
