Russia has banned fruit, vegetables, meat, poultry, fish, milk and dairy imports from the United States, the European Union, Australia, Canada and Norway, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev told a government meeting yesterday. The ban is valid from August 7 and will last for one year. Below is the list of banned products:
l cattle meat, fresh, chilled or frozen;
l pork, fresh, chilled or frozen;
l poultry and its subproducts, fresh, chilled or frozen;
l all salted, dried or smoked meats;
l fish, shellfish, scallops and other aquatic invertebrates;
l milk and dairy products;
l vegetables, fruits, nuts
l sausage and similar meat products;
l cheese and similar products.
