Hollywood films to watch out for in 2014 second half

Hollywood continues to maintain its adventure streak throughout the year with several action flicks keeping the moviegoers on the edge. Promising more romance, comedy, science fiction and action, the best Hollywood movies are lined up in the second half of the year. Check out the best Hollywood flicks for the rest of 2014. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes   The most awaited sequel of the Rise of the Planet of the Apes is directed by Matt Reeves and has Andy Serkis, Gary Oldman, Jason Clarke, and Keri Russell in the lead role. The science fiction film will show Caesar (the leader of the apes) taking a journey and finding a group of human survivors after an epidemic wiped out the human race a decade ago.  Hercules  Left impatient after the 300 sequel, Hercules has all it takes to quench the thirst of a war film. With Dwayne Johnson stepping into the shoes of Hercules and supermodel Irina Shayk playing Megara, the film is loaded with high on energy scenes and special effects.  22 Jump Street  The film has already released overseas and has been followed by good reviews. Starring Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum in lead roles, the film begins as the two officers look for drug dealers on an online college with only key words as their weapons. The two finally spot their destination at 22 Jump Street and have to enter it undercover.  Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle  For all those who have grown up watching Ninja Turtles on television, the upcoming film “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle” will be a delightful treat. The four teenage anthropomorphic turtles trained by rat sensei will be seen doing much more than what they do best – battling petty criminals, evil overlords, mutated animals, and alien invaders while remaining away from the limelight.  The Expendables 3  “The Expendables 3” is the third in The Expendables series. It’s the battle within as the gang led by Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone) is forced to fight the team’s co-founder Conrad Stonebanks. Ross decides to make a new younger team of The Expendables to wage a war against Conrad with full vengeance.  Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill For   If you love watching intense drama surrounding romance, cheating, relationships and revenge, “Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill For” is worth waiting for. Starring Josh Brolin, Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, Eva Green, Dennis Haysbert, Jaime King, Bruce Willis and many others, the film revolves around Josh Brolin who struggles with his inner turmoil but the strange turn of events have something else in store for him.   The Interview  “The Interview” is expected to be a fun watch as it boasts of an engaging plot which revolves around two celebrity journalists who get a ripe opportunity of taking the interview of Kim Jong-un. The Judge  The Judge is a comedy-drama starring Robert Downey Jr and Billy Bob Thornton in lead roles. The film will be a light-hearted watch as lawyer Robert Downey Jr returns to his hometown in Indiana for his mother’s funeral. However, the strange turn of events make the loss a complicated one as he discovers that his estranged father, Judge Joseph Palmer (played by Robert Duvall) who is also the town’s judge, is suspected of her murder.  Fury  Entering the war zone again, Brad Pitt returns with a second one in war series, “Fury,” after his last year’s “World War Z.” Also starring Shia La Beouf and Logan Lerman, “Fury” boasts of a gripping plot set during the last months of World War II.  Exodus: Gods and Kings Loaded with war action, extensive cinematography and fantastic performances, “Exodus” will be worth waiting for till December. Starring Christian Bale, Ben Kingsley, Joel Edgerton, and Sigourney Weaver, it is the story of the massive migration of the Israelites from Egypt as led by Moses and described in the Old Testament Book of Exodus. l
