It seems the 34-year-old Bollywood diva, Kareena Kapoor Khan, is not yet mature enough to embrace motherhood. In a recent interview to the Times of India, the actor said: “I do want a child. But bringing up one is a big responsibility. I am not ready for motherhood yet.”
When asked about Saif Ali Khan’s opinion in this matter, she replied: “Saif and I have decided not to have a baby for the next two years. Right now, we are completely focused on our careers and doing up our new house. The child, whenever it comes, will be my life.”
However, speculations about Kareena’s pregnancy were getting strong as she refused a number of films in a short span time. “I don’t understand why people immediately jump to such conclusions when a married actress refuses a film. Accepting or refusing a film is an actor’s prerogative. No one should intrude on his/her privacy,” said the sizzling beauty.
Kareena’s latest flick “Singham 2” opposite Ajay Devgn is releasing on August 15. “In ‘Singham 2,’ for the first time I play a Maharashtrian girl (smiles). Besides, I love working with Ajay, Salman, Aamir and Shah Rukh. I would leave any film to work with them. They have given me my biggest hits,” said Kareena.
