Members of the different forces including BIWTA, Coastguard, Fire Services, Navy have been continuing frantic drives also in the Meghna river in search of the missing bodies of Pinak-6, the launch that sank in the Padma river near Mawa Ghat in Munshiganj on Monday.
Mobarak Hossain, BIWTA Chandpur port officer spoke of the search operation to the Dhaka Tribune.
He said a 10-member team of Chandpur has been searching for bodies from Charbhairabi to Sureswar since Monday afternoon.
Another team consisting of 14 members has been working from Padma-Meghna confluence from Sureswar to Charbhairabi by a speed boat, Chandpur Coastguard Station Commander Moqbul Hossain told the Dhaka Tribune.
The operation began on Monday evening.
Chandpur Additional Police Super Kamrul Islam said river police have been running another operation that began on Monday evening in different places in the Meghna river with cargo and a speedboat.
More than one hundred passengers of Pinak-6 are still missing.
