The government is going to launch 'Chakri Nebo Na, Chakri Debo' program across the country to make people self employed.
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Secretary Md Nazrul Islam Khan made the disclosure on Tuesday.
Nazrul was addressing 'Freelancers to Entrepreneurs Development Programme' (FEDP) through a video conference.
The government would initiate a self employment project for the youth of all the 480 upazilas to create entrepreneurs in the Information technology (IT) sector, he said.
Nazrul said: "We're planning to launch a programme titled- Chakri Nebo Na, Chakri Debo (not seeking jobs, but providing jobs) within a couple of months."
And for this, the government is developing about 2000 entrepreneurs at the district level in the first phase from the freelancers under the FEDP.
In the second phase, the `Chakri Nebo Na, Chakri Debo' will be launched in the upazilas and unions to create entrepreneurs who will provide jobs to the educated youths, he added.
"No need to seek for a job if a person truly becomes an entrepreneur... rather the entrepreneur will provide jobs to others," Khan hoped.
