The 65th birth anniversary of the late iconic playwright Selim Al Deen is on August 18. Like the previous years, theatre troupe Swapnadal has chalked out a five-day festival that will begin on August 16 marking the Natyacharya's birth anniversary.
The event will be held in Dhaka and Mymensingh, where a number of Deen’s plays are scheduled to be staged by different theatre troupes. The festival will also feature seminars, workshops, processions and musical performances.
The celebration will commence on August 16 at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy with Selim Al Deen’s acclaimed production “Hargaj” by the host troupe.
