Rock icon of the country James has recently engaged himself in playbacks more than before and the news of his ventures in three upcoming films hit the audio arena. He is the playback in a film titled “Sotta” which is directed by Hasibur Reza Kollol and the song is tuned and composed by Bappa Mazumder. The number is written by Sohani Hossain who is also the original story writer of the film. The song has been recorded in a studio in the capital on August 3, while James himself will be seen onscreen presenting the song, which confirms a cameo appearance of the singer in the film. Shakib Khan, Paoli Dam, the sizzling actor from Kolkata and Ahmed Rubel play the lead roles.
Earlier James lent his voice in a film titled “Zero Degree” in which Mahfuz Ahmed, Joya Ahsan and Dilruba Yasmeen Ruhee donned the lead roles. The song is titled “Bhalobasa O Ghrina” and is written by Animesh Aich while it has been tuned and composed by Price Mahmud.
Besides these, James also recorded a song titled “Eto Kosto Kosto Lage E Ontore” in Safiuddin Safi “Warning.” It is written by Kabir Bakul while Shawkat Ali Emon worked on the tune and music composition.
James’ first playback work was in Manna’s “Moner Sathe Juddha” and later he worked in “Matir Thikana.”
