Two people have been killed and two others injured as a bus ran over a motorcycle near Kanarampur area on Mymensingh-Kishoreganj highway on Sunday morning.
The deceased were identified as Abu Siddik, 55, and his grandson Abu Raihan, 5, hailed from Darilla village under Nandail upazila of Mymensingh.
The accident took place around 11am at Kanarampur area in Nandail upazila of Mymensingh, Nandail police station Officer-in-Charge Saiful Islam told the Dhaka Tribune.
A Dhaka-bound speedy bus rammed over the motorcycle carrying Abu Siddik and Raihan near Kanarampur area, leaving them dead on the spot, the OC said quoting witnesses.
The injured were rushed to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, he said.
Police seized the bus and arrested its driver, he added.
