A person has been killed and 20 others injured in a clash between two groups of villagers over trivial matter at Dardara village under Pakundia upazila of Kishoreganj on Thursday afternoon.
The deceased is Babul Mia, 35, son of Gias Uddin of Dardara village.
Pakundia police station Officer-in-Charge Jakir Rabbani said: “The followers of Babul and Irfan engaged in a clash with locally made weapons over Eidgah demarcation, killing babul on the spot and 20 others injured.”
Of the injured, 10 have been admitted to different clinics of the upazila in critical condition, he added.
