The people of seven villages including Baithapara, Sing, Shitli, Bhalkai and Pairadanga under Harinakundu upazila in Jhenaidah celebrated Eid Ul Fitr on Monday.
According to the villagers, they had been celebrating the Eid according to the Saudi Calender for last couple of years.
Mainly the people who works in the Saudi Arabia were the initiators of the celebration, the villagers said.
Eid prayer was held at 8:30am at the Government Primary School ground at Bhalki.
